New Website: Rhythmofthetide.com

November 30, 2011

I’m trying to slowly shift all the content from this site over to the new one:

“Life songs of ages, throbbing in my blood, have danced the rhythm of the tide and flood.”

If you have any requests for specific things you’d like me to compile together, any new info to submit for a particular topic I already have, or any corrections on errors I might have made, let me know. 🙂

  1. Why did you decide to move (if you don’t mind me asking)?

I have an irrational fear that one day something might happen to your blog and all this invaluable collection of organized info will cease to exist. I think I need to make a local backup copy just in case.

    • Haha, I’ve saved the original format of all the posts here so if something should happen to the other site I can always reupload them here. I’m also irrational. 🙂 My goal is so that even if I fall off the face of the MJ planet for whatever reason the site will continue to exist and the info will continue to be here for others to find and use. My irrational personal fear is that in years to come the waters around MJ will become even more murky and it’ll be harder for some to be able to find the truth about some things (the way I felt when I approached the MJ world) and I’m hoping sites like this can help with that.

I wanted to be able to format my posts better in order to hopefully make them easier to read and digest. I know some pages have so much information they can be hard for new MJ fans or non-MJ fans to find the relevant info. Hopefully the new formatting helps with things.

      • it is helpful and i love this website, i get so tired of ppl coming to their own conclusion about him. he was a good guy and ppl need to know that and that he was normal as you and me.

  2. Great blog. Keep up the good work.

  3. You have worked so hard to compile all of this priceless information. Thank you for your time and dedication in putting the last site and this new site together – and for all the research and verification you have done to make sure that the truth about MJ is known.

I bow down to your virtual feet! 🙂

    • Thank you! I really hope people find all the info here useful 🙂

      • Most definitely. It’s certainly helped me to understand MJ a little more and with all the info I’d not seen before only made me love him even more if that was possible.

        • That was a big reason to put this site together. There’s a lot of info that never really reaches the mainstream, small fun interesting stories that give a broader perspective of MJ. A lot of it is stuff that only fans who google around ever hear about and only ever talk about on forums. So there’ll be a lot of discussion on a forum about something but nobody ever keeps an archive anywhere for people who don’t spend time on the forums to get a chance to read it. Before putting this info together I can’t remember how many discussions I had about his vitiligo, his lupus, his wives, his kids, his friends, etc. I’d have to store the links and info myself so I could keep reposting it for people. Also a lot about MJ only really makes sense when you start seeing it placed in context of his life.

Judging by the hits this blog gets it seems a lot of people use this site as a reference tool, which is exactly what I was hoping for! 🙂 Hopefully the truth will trickle through. We MJ fans need to be really active in sharing links and info around on mainstream news sites too, so all the info we have gets heard by the public.

          • Of course. I always see that I see your blog as THE MJ Encyclopedia – You have evverything! I remember I’d read a lot about stuff and get into arguements with people about this and that but I never saved links so I couldn’t really name my sources except for YouTube and u know how some people will play that “How do you know?” ish to discount whatever you say. SMH, people make me sick, but I wish even more folks would discover your site and not just the fans. although I love to see in YouTube comment sections how fans will stick up for MJ with actual solid facts while H8ers just repeat the same thing over and over again because they “heard someone say it” or “Only a pedophile would let kids sleep in his bed!”

Hell. I swear I could go on and on about my disgust for those types but I’m sure you’ve got it the same.

            Anyway, thanks again, girl.

  5. Ho sempre ammirato di nascosto il tuo lavoro, tradotto pazientemente.
Il tuo sito è fantastico, una “miniera” di informazioni precise.
    Grazie tante.
    Patrizia.

I’ve always secretly admired your work, patiently translated.
Your site is fantastic, a “mine” of accurate information.
    Thank you very much.
    Patrizia.

  6. Hey, Lacienga. 🙂
I have a blog and many people like the facts of Michael Jackson. And I love your blog and the content there. My blog is French and I wish the French fans of Michael Jackson can find the information that your blog contains. So I would offer this: well my blog is in French and there is just one version of your blog in English, I would like to… translate it. And in every articles, I’ll put the link of your two blogs: http://rhythmofthetide.com and https://lacienegasmiled.wordpress.com/. If you agree, I would be very happy! And if you say no, I tried.
    Have a nice day. Julia.

    • I love that idea, what’s the link? If you haven’t set it up yet, when you do just post it here or on my other site I’ll add you to my blog roll 🙂

  7. There you go, that’s the link. http://mybuttisyours.skyrock.com/
    – i’m glad you accepted! 😀

  10. This website is amazing and I’m seriously impressed with whoever put all of this together. I’ve literally spent hours going through everything. The section about vitiligo is especially valuable and I think everyone should read it! Well done
